Carson was founded by Richard Cameron in 1990. First the company’s name was Copitar USA and later changed to Carson.

Carson company was first started as a binocular company and later expanded to manufacturing microscopes and magnifiers.

Carson has now over 28 years of experience in optics manufacturing with special attention to their customers to satisfy all their needs and complaints.

Carson now is one of the leading manufacturers of high quality optics.

Carson offers a wide range of optical products, such as binoculars, microscopes, magnifiers, rifle scopes, telescopes, laser range finders, monoculars, night vision devices, spotting scopes.

Carson offers various types of warranty to all their products: US Warranty, Outside of US and Binocular Warranty Procedure in USA.

But I don’t review telescopes. I review only binoculars.

The prism, lens quality are supreme with a wide field of view. There are two types of Carson 3D series binoculars: ED glass and non ED glass.

ED glass quality is a little higher than non ED. It has minimum chromatic aberration which makes image clear, sharp and bright.

 

 

Carson 3D series binoculars are different from other models due to their three-dimensional effect.

3D effect means you don’t need to adjust the focus every time you want to view objects through the binoculars.

This effect is present in any porro binoculars but not in roof prism binoculars.

Thanks to this feature in Carson 3D binoculars you can adjust the focus once and then use binoculars provided viewing distance doesn’t change a lot.

Carson offers limited lifetime warranty for this series. Your binocular will be replaced or repaired in case any defect has been found.

Carson compact binoculars – From $30 to $75 – Cheap Class

Carson compact binoculars – This series is designed specifically for those that want to get super lightweight, super compact binoculars with a relatively good image quality for a cheap price.

Most Carson compact binoculars have BK-7 prism which means the image quality is inferior to those that have BAK-4 prism.

 

 

It’s still acceptable and you can choose from this series if you plan to buy a binoculars under $90.

I personally don’t buy BK-7 other than for testing purposes for my website. The main feature of these binoculars that they are lightweight and cheap.

Image quality is acceptable. Some of them have BAK-4 prism which makes them fully-functional binoculars.

These binoculars are not waterproof or fog-poof. This series was mainly designed for theatre, sporting events, opera, concerts.
